The first documentary evidence of Piera Castle, also known as Castell de Jaume I, was dated in the century x. later, the castel became property Real where Jaime I The Conqueror frequented the Castillo de Piera between 1213 and 1276. In 1832 the Castle passed to private ownership and its successful restoration was finished in 1916. All this and its proper conservation by its current owners, Oliveras Sastre-marques family, has done that you have arrived at our days in perfect condition.

Piera Castle as we can visit it today is a building military, of rectangular plan with an impressive Tower square and structured in three levels: the Hall of weapons and farmhouse, the noble floor and dormers.
